Trio Concertino - Winner of the Bohuslav Martinů Competition

Trio Concertino was founded in 1999 at the Prague Conservatory in the class
of prof. Jaroslav Moučka. Trio Concertino (Ivo Kahánek - piano, Jan Fišer -
violin, Tomáš Jamník - violoncello) was founded in 1999 at the Prague
Conservatory in the class of prof. Jaroslav Moučka. Immediately after the
founding the trio was awarded with the 2. price and special price for the best
interpretation of the "Bergerettes" of B. Martinů at the Beethoven International
Competition. After this success, the group paused for almost four years due to
educational activities of the violinist Jan Fišer in the USA.
The Trio Concertino has renewed their activities in 2004 and triumphed in
December of the same year in the Martinů Competition, where the group won the 1.
price. In February 2005 the trio took part in the chamber music masterclasses in
Germany with the Guarneri Trio Prague. The Trio Concertino works at the
Prague Academy of Performing Arts in the class of prof. Josef Chuchro and
collaborates with members of the Guarneri Trio Prague, especially with prof.
Ivan Klánský, as well as with other musical
authorities.
